The LG direct drive washing machine is something different to any other brand of washer. Instead of having a belt attached to the drum the motor is attached directly. This means that the washer is amazingly quiet even on full spin and doesnt bounce around! This model has 7.5kg drum load so it takes loads of washing, we can easily fit in a full bedding set for our super kingsize bed and still have space left inside. The controls are really easy to use, just one simple dial control. If you are on economy seven electricity like we are then the built in delay start timer is great, we set it, when we go to bed, to come on in the early hours of the morning so its cheaper to run and because its so quiet it doesnt wake anybody up! The machine like alot of larger drum ones is quite deep so if you have got pipework or a plug behind the machine then it will likely stick out from the edge of your worktop by a couple of inches. This model is soon to be replaced by 8kg and 9kg models but the features and direct drive is the same. The direct drive has a ten years manufacturers gaurantee on the motor which makes it even better. LG washers arent cheap but well worth the money... expect to pay in the region of £500-£600.
