Nokia N81 8GB

Nokia have always been very favourite mobile phone producer. I deviated once from them in about 2001, but have otherwise been steadfastly loyal. I usually tend to go for the simple models. I'm not too bothered by gadgets, as long as I can call and text I'm happy. I was given this phone for my birthday and was a little scared to begin with. So many functions! However, I was pleasantly surprised to find that it was easy to use, like all other nokia products that I have had. The instructions were clear but with a little bit of fiddling I think that most mobile phone users could work out how to use it without nokia's help.

Now for the technical stuff...

The phone is very pretty but feels so light that I am constantly worried about breaking it. It must be fairly robust though as it has withstood being played with by my 1 year old [i must add that this was before I found out what it cost!].

The Nokia N81has up to 8GB internal flash memory for music, games, video, images and applications. Apparently this is not all that great, but it's more than enough for my purposes.

Talk time is up to 240 minutes and stand by time is up to 17 days [which I thought was amazing - I've only had about 3 days before! I do find it hard to remember to charge though as it needs it so infrequently].

Music playback time is up to 11.5 hours
Video recording time is up to 3.5 hours with QVGA
Gaming time is up to 6 hours
The picture quality is good, definitely the best that I've ever had.
The voice commands and hands free speaker are really handy, and I love having the FM radio available.

My phone was purchased from the Nokia website, and was £349. It was delivered free in 3 days. I would never ever have paid that much for a mobile phone, and although I like the phone, I don't think that it is worth that type of money I'm afraid [hubby got quite a telling off when I found out what he'd spent!].
