Digging to america is about two families who are at an airport waiting for two Korean girls to arrive. Each couple are awaiting as they are going to adopt one each. Little did they know that as one reads into the book there lives start mixing together and every year both families come together on the anniversary of there arrival into Amrica and their lives. So their friendship blossoms and they start to find out what it means to be American. It also has a brief insight into Iranian-America culture . One of the Grandparents Maryan Yazdan struggles with joining in with this annual event as some of the time she feels rather an outsider just looking in.
This book was recommended to me by one of my work mates and I have thoroughly enjoyed reading. |
