I bought one of these at the end of September 2007, attracted by the large LCD, and my previous good experience of a Kodak digital camera.
I've found that unless photos are taken in brilliant sunshine, the photos are so grainy as to be useless. This includes photos taken with a flash. Thinking there must be a fault with the camera I contacted the Kodak customer service number provided with the camera - I had just missed the one month window of opportunity for getting a refund, so after numerous, lengthy and exasperating conversations with various non-UK call centre staff, they agreed to take a look at it. The camera was duly returned with a note saying this sort of "noise" is normal for this camera - so not only am I stuck with a camera I can't use, but also the camera dock and memory card I bought to go with it. As the camera had only just been released in the UK when I bought it, the only reviews I could find were, I now suspect, planted by people with a vested interest in encouraging sales - take a look now, and you will find others who have found the same problem with "noise" as I have. I have owned other supposedly inferior digital cameras (including an earlier kodak one), and without exception, they have all taken excellent photos in all light conditions. I feel like I have been robbed, and I would urge anyone considering buying one of these to read as many reviews as you can before throwing your money away. KodakEasyShare Digital Camera

I am very fond of this camera I bought this a couple of years ago and I paid about £120 plus an upgrade of the memory card which then was another 30pounds.
This camera is larger than the ones you can buy now but it still takes very good pictures. There is a zoom lense and it has 5.0 Megapixels and the zoom is 3x which again is fairly high speck for a simple digital camera. The only down side I have found is the on/off switch is not very secure as it easy turns on if you put it away in a bag and you have left the batteries in so when you go to use it you find that the batteries have run down.So when I have to transport the camera I have to take the batteries out otherwise I go through several batteries which could get costly.I now have started using rechargable ones which keeps the cost down.To use the camera there are simple instructions so very easy to follow and to use. So I feel this has been a good buy and I enjoy using it.the colour of the camera is silver which I like as I think looks very smart. |
