3D gaming was a revolution, with the release of Super Mario 64 the gaming world stood in awe as players ran, jumped and even flew through colourful worlds. The N64 was the most powerful console of its generation, a trait nintendo have left behind to follow inovation. the controller is a modern design classic, featuring use of the Z button: a trigger shaped button designed ergonimcally to fit the players hand complementing perfectly the possibly best first person shooters ever made: Perfect Dark and Goldeneye.

Which leads to the games. With a wide array being, in a word "perfect". It was on the N64 that the Zelda series of games truley came into its own. 'Ocarina of Time' is as close as a game has ever come to being perfect, intelligent, charming, beautiful and involving it draws the player into a new world and engrosses them in a fantastic story whilst constantly solving puzzles and dungeons. The follow up 'Majora's Mask' is a near equal and although harder to find uses the same game engine in a new way to create an increasingly dramatic and darker yet equally engrossing game.

It is the massive range of these games that makes the N64 such a must have for game enthusiasts and even people, like myself, who aren't really into games. Games worth having include:
