A so-so console

I purchased the core system some time ago and I found it lacking in advancements from the original console. While the graphics have improved the controllers have not. I found that with some games it was still slow and sometimes unreponsive. The controllers themselves are overly chunky and this lends itself only to discouraging children, females and men with small hands to play the console. It boasts many similar features to the PS3 however it does not support as many memory expansion/storage capabilities. It its bulky and unnatractive exterior it only houses 2 usb ports and 2 memory card slots. Sony quite cleverly delayed the release of the PS3 to allow the gaming population time to evaluate the XBOX 360 and determine its deficiencies to its competitor. Playing the XBOX 360 left me unsatisfied and bored. While this is soley my opinion on the product I know a few who enjoyed the console. My father enjoys the one he got for christmas though found the games lacking in substance and replayability. What Microsoft and dear old Bill Gates needs to do now, is listen to the complaints of the gamers and build upon the machine they have. It is not perfect but it has potential to give its rivals a run for their money if its improved. My advice: not a console for children, the controllers are too chunky and the menus are slighty annoying. A console for the manly men and big handed people of the world.
