xbox 360 elite : can it get any better?

After owning an xbox 360 premium since launch in december 05 and being plagued by problems from day 1 I was happy to hear that Microsoft were releasing a new (supposedly more stable) 360 console. The new console would feature a hdmi port for full 1080p hd gaming , A 120gb hard drive (much of an improvement over the old 20gb) and the promise of a european video marketplace (to come soon).

So on the uk launch (24th august 2007) of the elite I decided to buy an elite.
I got mine for £310 with bioshock which was an added bonus.
Now the first difference you will notice when you open up your brand new elite will be the colour , rather than the average "cream" microsoft have changed the colour to "sexy" black which looks lovely. Included in the box is all the usual cables and manuals etc but you will also find a wireless black controller and a wired black headset which are very nice , There is also an added "dongle" for optical sound inputs as well as a small hdmi cable which is of a high quality. One of the main differences that I found was that the console had the new benq disc drive which is a lot quiter than the older drives.
The console seems to be more stable than the older ones.
The picture in 1080p is astonishing it truly is.
The sound through 5.1 is amazing as usual.
The build quality is a lot better than previous 360's.

All in all I would say this is a great buy , A great peice of kit that will bring you many hours of joy (especially with all the great new games that have just been released)

Be quick as they are sure to be selling quick with christmas coming up.

You will NOT be dissapointed.

While it's neither a must-have upgrade for existing 360 owners nor as feature-packed as the PS3, the Xbox 360 Elite's combination of top-notch gaming and digital media features make it the current game console of choice.
