Why should I buy the Wii?

Well initially my thought was that it seemed cheap and, by the publicity, it was more of a "lets have some fun" concept rather than a more "let the game play begin".
I wasn't quite sure at first. I mean sure it was a truly unique idea, but it didn't convince me. I was comparing it to other consoles such as the Xbox 360 and Playstation 3, but was surprised to find that, after reading reviews and trying to compare, I found there’s too much difference between the Wii and its rivals. So I was presented with the question "what’s so special about the Wii?” The answer is simple. The Nintendo Wii has that fun factor. It appeals to a variety of audiences and every game keeps you interested. More than that is when it comes to playing with friends, the thrill last for ages. My main concern was that it might get a bit dull and boring, I mean imagine holding your hand up pointing at the screen for over half an hour. Doesn't appeal does it. But that’s the great thing because even though its not played for long, the anticipation to play it the next time rises. In conclusion this, despite what people think about this console, for value and for great fun, the Nintendo Wii should definitely be considered on your wish list. A Party Piece console

I would love to write here that I cannot fault this console. Fortunately, there is only one fault I can find with this console. The graphics.
As a serious gamer, the Wii lacks the graphics expected of a console released after both the PS3 and XBOX 360. However, the Wii was never designed to outdo either console. The Wii was about getting people up off their backsides, getting people who've never played games to play them, about getting anti-social gamers to become more sociable gamers. The Wii was never about being the best of the best. It was about being fun. And it is that. You will find yourself up on your toes, hopping slightly from left to right, fists and controller up guarding your face as you pummel your best friend at the Wii Sports Boxing. You'll hear someone shout Home Run as you hit the ball out of the park in the baseball game then, suddenly find yourself running frantically in circles round your livingroom. The best bit - watching other people make complete fools of themselves. Get your parents to play and watch Dad's face get all serious as he concentrates on his bowling technique - good old twinkle toes. It's hilarious to watch and to play. The only problem is if you play with a sore loser who likes to throw the controller away in a strop. Oh yes, you know who you are. Thankfully, the wii comes with lovely warning signs telling you to fix the safety strap on tight just incase you let it go and put it through your tv. The wii has changed the way people look at gaming by making it something everyone can get involved with. It's a must have console whether your a serious gamer or have technology phobia. Advice: Make sure you have chewy toffies to keep granny busy when she visits - because oh yes she will want a shot and you will not like it when she beats all your top scores. Interactive gaming at its best!

If you currently do not own a nintendo wii then it needs to be on your must have list.... no matter what age you are! Having had several games consoles before i wasnt sure if i needed another! but after buying one and playing on it for a couple of minutes i knew that my money had been well spent. It is extremely easy to set up and use, once you have mastered co-ordinating the pointer on the screen with your hand movements with the remote!
This is not a games console for the serious gamer.... if you are then stick to the ps3 or 360. It is a console designed to be used by all ages young and old. It is unique in getting the gamer up and about being interactive with the characters on the screen. The wii sports that come with the console is a great game to get you started. The first time you play this game for any considerable length then you will know about it the following day.... still limbs! There is lots of fun you can have with the wii not just gaming, you can create your own look-a-like character that feature sin some of the games, store and view back photos from your camera via an sd slot, connect to the nintendo website to purchase new an old retro games from previous consoles like n64 etc. If you can afford to buy one then do so, there are games to suit everybody. If you have got kids even better as it gets them off their backsides and doing exercise!!!! Have fun and dont forget to attach the wrist strap!!!! Expert Reviews What's this?
