The greatest racer to hit the ps3 from sony is in fact one of the first titles to be released with the console at launch.Great graphics and a cool physics engine enables for realistic crashes and handling.The courses are great with realistic looking tracks to race along all set in a desert style theme with huge enormous rocks protruding from the ground to the few cacti laying around and the mud spray effects are the best seen yet.Tyre tracks stay on the courses even after the 1st lap is completed and the thumping soundtrack goes well too.But im not here to talk about how great this game is im here to tell you about the downloadable content from the playstation store.First off theres the free to download halloween paint job for one of the racing trucks.Ok its not great but its free and worth downloading for that special seasonal treat.Secondly and also free to download is the time attack mode that lets you race against ghost images of the record times posted by other online users.So you can try to beat their record times.thirdly there are 2 extra vehicles packs each pack containing 2 new vehicles to add to the motorstorm experience.For £1.49 you get a big rig and a rally car. Pack 2 you get a racing truck and mudplugger again £1.49 and its yours.Each one has 3 paint jobs.Last but hopefully not least is the revenge weekend content which costs £3.99.This consists of a whole new track to race around and once beaten you win another vehicle cuortesy of lunartech.This vehicle is a buggy.But also with this download you get 2 extra vehicles to race with, a motorbike and an army atv.The revenge weekend is a great extra track for all you hardcore motorstormers.When you play online whilst hosting a game no other players can join the new track unless they have also downloaded it.So be warned if you play online on your new track make sure your friends have it too or they will automatically be kicked from your game.Ive bought the new packs and highly recommend them to other motorstorm owners, even if its to just breathe extra life back into the game itself.More content like this from sony please and the store will do just as well as this game has.
