Another year,another Wwe smackdown vs raw game by publisher THQ and develped by YUKES.This edition is the best wwe game by far; yes it looks like every other wwe game released but the graphics are sharper and more realistic than previous efforts, the moves are smoother and more fluid, and when you connect with a foot or fist it feels like you really have connected in bone crunching style.There are different fighting styles to choose from this time round which vary from high flyers to hardcore and each wrestler is given two of the eight traits that closely match their real life counterparts.You can use dirty moves for example using the referee as a shield then flinging him into your opponents.These traits lead to many interesting matches and even out the the advantages one wrestler may have over another.A new 24/7 mode is available amongst the usual match types like tag team, rumble and cage matches.It is now possible to enter into the king of the ring match too and if you win you get a ceremony fit for a king and the choice of a diva to be your queen.Even the entrance sequences have been revamped this time round and you can even use the motion controller to look through the eyes of the wrestler comming down to ringside.Not great i know but its there as a nice little extra.Despite a few minor glitches that no doubt will be improved upon next year the game is the best WWE title to hit the playstation since the last one.Even people who dislike wrestling will get some enjoyment out of this game and fans of the series will adore it.
