NO,NO,NO,NO,NO... Come on Konami what are you playing at?
way back in 2001 when pro evo first appeared on the ps2 the series was top notch, knocking its rival;EA's FIFA game off the top slot for soccer sims.
Everyone knew pro evo was the best.Im sorry to say that this time round pro evo just doesnt quite make the grade.This was a fotty series that easily earned 10 out of 10 but this is the next generation of consoles now konami.The crowd look like something from a ps1 game not one of them actually following whats going on on the pitch.The camera jerks around toowhen the team is lining up pre match.Multiplayer is ruined bythe occassional slowdown too.Even the graphics and detail of the players are nothing like how the next generation consoles should be showing them,they look nothing like the real players at all.Konami hasnt used the ps3s powerful capabilities at all turning out a below average soccer sim that no doubt fans will buy over Eas FIFA 08 . The problems dont end there though, the Al of the computer opponents is shoddy at most.This requires you to pass the ball more often before scoring it just wont let you run with the ball as easily.As a result of the terrible Al players tend to dive head for the ball when theres no need to at all,it also messes up your formations during play, everything goes to pot.Konami need to up their pro evo series this time and well done EA for actually turning out a football sim that the people actually want to play.Fifa 08 wins the soccer sim this time round im afraid.
