Manufacturer Fault?

This laptop has been misteriously discontinued by many retailers in the middle of January sales in London.

It also looks like many of these laptops were returned to the vendor and reconditioned, these have apparently been sold already.

Is there a major fault going on? Does anyone know or have experienced anything?
