I purchased this DVD recorder about two months ago from Argos, right lets get down to business. Firstly the unit looks smart, black with neon blue standby light located at the front although it does seem a little big in its depth. Now the performance, The unit has has a HMDI out put, but just beware this only upscales the image and I have a 720p HD TV and I was not impressed with the image quality when running it through the HMDI. I judge this against the quality of images off my PS3 which is true HDMI and I would say this is worthless on this unit. It also has Freeview which works fine and is great to have it all contained within one unit, picture quality of the Freeview is good. The biggest gripe I have on this machine is the way they have organised the navigation around the unit it is unbelievably difficult compared to my old unit a Liteon, and also you can only record from the HDD to the DVD and unfortunately not not the otherway as well. Overall the unit packes alot for the money, would I buy it again or recommend it to a friend probably not!
