Extremely frustrating to deal with once you actually have to submit any significant claim or undergo any hospitalisation.

Very good when it comes to collecting money, I paid upfront in one go, unfortunately I had to go to the emergency room and they didn't want to pay.

I am a two-month old Regency customer and unfortunately during this time I've already had an unexpected Appendicitis surgery in Bali. I'm super grateful to the team for how prompt they are in their follow-up and expenses claim for my surgery and outpatient costs. When one is sick/injured, the last thing you would want to deal with is paperwork and payments. Team Regency has made it so effortless and efficient that I am forever grateful and appreciative. Absolutely would recommend!

I had/have an infection, then amputation and they won't pay a thing. They said it was pre-existing and wrong hospital. I purchased the insurance 6 months before the infection.

If you are interested in getting an Insurance from Regency, check many of the 1 Star Reviews here! I realize that all 1 Star Reviews are really very specific in what didn't happen from Regency and what should happen, while all 5 Star Reviews are all really unspecific where and how Regency helped them at all. I have never seen any User Feedback like this here. And I am glad I found it. I will NOT sign any contract with them. I am sure all the 5 Star Reviews are fully faked.

Please stay away of Regency for Expats. THEY SIMPLY DON'T PAY. Client Service really a low level. Got calls by un UK number (+44) where they pretend to have an office by people based in Thailand, HONK KONG, the Caribbean Sea and who knows from where. I specified to call me during my working time zone many times (phone and email) but got calls at 4am or 10pm my time. Every time a new person to deal with via email of phone giving you then just polite and nonsense answers with nobody taking responsibility of decisions. Then you start the endless story of requesting medical certifications and nonsense documentation. When asked to have the legal entity to send them letters by my layer never got a reply. Basically I got a claim denial for a gallstone operation. I discovered to have the problems due to some really high pain. Went then to the doctor and did the ultrasound and found the gallstone in my cistifellea. Asked to 2 clinics in Italy 2 different prices for operation. Sent all documents to the claiming team and got denial. They argue it was a previous problem before the insurance policy. If this is the logic any cancer or even a basic teeth cavity will be denied. They even didn't reimburse the initial visits and exams I took to get through the diagnosis.

number to cover the $7000 plus fee. I was contacted repeatedly by the broker stating the charge had been declined. Finally, I provided another credit card number and I was informed all was OK. I had a dental issue here in Panama which, based on the dentist here in Panama, required a tooth extraction. I submitted the receipt from the procedure as well as the claim form required by Regency. The reimbursement did not occur because Regency failed to use the account number I had submitted. My bank in Canada required me to contact Regency and request they use the same information I had already provided to Regency. Regency complied, and I was finally reimbursed the $80 USD. I approached a doctor here in Panama afterwards, I had pain in my groin. I have no family doctor here. The Dr examined me and determined I had a hernia, a large hernia he stated. I asked the same doctor about my inexplicable weight loss I had recently suffered (240 lbs to 170 lbs in 3 months), my mother died this year of cancer. I asked if there was a blood test that could confirm whether I had cancer or not. I was told that blood work would be inconclusive but rather an endoscopy and colonoscopy would be more conclusive. I submitted to all the procedures based on the Dr recommendations. When all the procedures were completed, I submitted the same receipts and claim forms as I had done for my dental procedure. I immediately got push back. There was more information suddenly required. I submitted more and more documentation. Not enough so Regency contacted my doctor, he did not repy to their emails. I was told the claim could not proceed. In Panama, at that time there were political demonstrations. I was told to garner the information myself so I attempted to get whatever was requested. I spent hours in traffic blockades in order to accommodate Regency to no avail. At no point, even to date, have I ever been informed of what the root cause of Regency's concerns are, what is it exactly that you are looking for or what the actual concern might be? Did I not have a hernia? Did I not undergo surgery? Did I not have a colonoscopy or endoscopy??? I have given up, I am running around Panama investigating, on your behalf, claims I submitted to Regency exactly like the dental claim I have already submitted.I am a customer, your business is medical insurance. I have been asked repeatedly how Regency can make this matter better. Wow. Simple, provide the service I have paid for. I tried to cancel my policy in an attempt to recover my losses. Not possible because I have exhausted the "cooling off period", wow. I was contacted by Maria Cassidy from Regency, she requested my phone number to have a telephone conversation to discuss said issues. I provided the information requested yet she did not call me. 2 days later I contacted her again saying she had misled me and that I did not want to hear from her moving forward. No reply. Next day, Maria says she will call me at 8 PM Panamanian time, not business hours for anyone. I again asked her not to contact me again. I remind the reader that I am a customer, a client of this business. This is not acceptable on any level. " Richard James, my broker, states he needs to understand "how he can help". Maria Cssidy from Regency insurance stated "reslove any outstanding issues".I am at at a loss, you provide a product, one product, insurance. How can you help me? Honour your one product, period. I purchased the most comprehensive package available to avoid this very situation. Now, I am afraid to ever walk into a hospital or medical clinic again anywhere in the world..

Despite contacting them before I read the reviews and had a narrow escape, I receive numerous calls in a week, which I now ignore. If you want insurance, use a known and reliable company!

I am at present fighting for authorization for a hip op in Indonesia. Since 2 weeks there are mails going up and down, but all I get is “comforting me". I am 74 years old and so far healthy. Unfortunately my hips got very bad the past 2 years and a specialist recommended double hip op. My annual fee to Regency was USD 10.384.00, which would cover the cost. I remember when I signed up with Regency in 2020, my brother warned me. How right he was. They ask for detailed Medical reports for the last 5 years. I cannot provide any, as I am so far healthy and for a flue or a tooth ake you do not need a medical report. Do you?! 2015 I had an accident and broke my shoulder. The insurance I had, immediately gave the green light to operate. This took 5 minutes over the phone. This is what an insurance should be like. Unfortunately they were not allowed to operate in Indonesia any more. Other wise I would be safe now!!!! I do not believe any of the positive comments, they are all lies. How come there are only 5 star or 1 star comments?!?! The only true comments are the 1 star comments. Regency keep your promise and pay for my surgery. Or cancel my contract and refund my 10.384.00 USD. But this will not happen, you are a fraudulent company stealing the money from expats all over the world. I believe in KARMA, this will come back to you one day. Dear expats, do never ever sign up with Regency!

Glad I checked the reviews !! I asked the telephone agent "Is this another ins. Co. where I need to show up for hospital care with a shoe box of $$$$ bills and you will 'HELP ME GET MY MONEY BACK' his reply " No, just show your Regency card and you are admitted with no charges to you" That is NOT INSURANCE that is a SCAM. Bu-Bye Regency TOO MANY BAD REVIEWS!!
