“This program is basically scripts for you to do sessions with clients. You work with other students to practice these scripts. You don’t learn much of anything. There isn’t much focus on nutrition or wellness. They basically teach you about obvious stuff you should be doing to get healthy such as get sleep and exercise. They don’t really teach you how to develop a business or how to start a health coach business. This certification wasn’t worth the money especially if you want to become a health coach and have a successful business. Very disappointed with the lack of information, the modules and this overall program.”

“Terrible platform and lousy customer service. I’ve been advancing in my training only to discover that the system is not advancing my progress when I return to my dashboard. I’ve contacted support, which is only an email, and no one has replied. Very unprofessional!”

“I chose Health Coach Institute because 2 close friends were graduates and after doing my own research and getting a chance to see the cofounders in action, I knew this was right for me. As an HCI graduate myself, what has made my experience special is the special friendships that I have built with members of the community who are also life and health coaches and looking to become a source of personal transformation like me. The training I received at HCI has changed me personally and professionally by giving me clarity in the path I want to follow. It has boosted my confidence in what I am doing and given me the tools to work with clients and guide them through a process that has proven to be effective in bringing about the results that they want to achieve. I continued my experience with an advanced program at Health Coach Institute because I believe in their proven system of personal transformation and my clients can only grow as far as I'm willing to grow myself. “Balancing information and coaching techniques, my training from Health Coach Institute has prepared me well to help my clients implement permanent habit change, allowing them to obtain and live their own best lives. Startup in a new industry takes time, but HCI has not abandoned me, and has helped me to make the transition to a career in health coaching. Yes, there are other programs offered for continued growth in coaching, as other reviewers have mentioned. This does not mean that a coach will not be equipped to enter the field upon completion of the Become a Health Coach program. The techniques and information covered in the initial program are in-depth enough to provide a great start in the field of health or life coaching.”

“HCI has really changed my Life forever. I never had an issue with customer service. They were always prompt with a response. I was able to set up a monthly withdrawal from my account every month to pay for this program. I feel it was worth it and more and i would pay it again. It just brings tears to my eyes thinking how much i have changed since starting and completing this training. I went from an introvert to a beautiful butterfly and i am so excited about my future. I finished in 2021 and lanched my business the same year. Thank you Stacey and Carey and it is my dream to be on stage with youll one day. God bless”

“DO NOT get involved with this school. This "6-month course is an intro ONLY". The real program they try to pressure sell you later. I also don't know anyone who's completed it in 6 months. BE WARNED !! If you decide to join, ask them for a breakdown of what you pay for financing before you sign anything!!! Your course more than doubles meaning they charge you over 50% interest! And while they assure you they will work with you if you have trouble with a payment... they do not !! They just slap more fees to your account. Ive asked for a breakdown to show the finance fee and they will not disclose this to you! Do you really want to learn health and life coaching skills from a school like that? They use the sales pitch "say yes and invest in yourself" then when your almost done BHC they really pressure you to pay for more the more indepth course. They say they want to empower you but they actually take your power away by not proving you with all the facts so you can make an informed decision on how to invest in yourself. Why would any school charge 50%+ interest?? They told me the course was $3200 USD but I better act FAST because its going up for sure for the next course offering. They give 3 payment options and don't ONCE mention the high financing fee. They just give you the 2 totals for the full payment or 2 payment options then give you what the monthly option is. They DO NOT tell you its over 5 years with 50% financing charge!! The course after financing fees was actually $6500 USD !!! Why so high? There's better schools out there that won't gouge you and be open fair and transparent. Their emails and calls assure you you can pay off your account early at any time and save on future financing charges... THIS IS UNTRUE. Even if you pay it off early... you are still stuck paying THE FULL 50%+ financing fee because *** the first 2 years of payments your only paying off the interest / financing fee!! *** If you have tons of money you can afford to lose then go ahead. But be warned, I wish I had read this post before joining. I asked for early payoff to save on future finance fees and they won't respond or disclose the actual financing fee to me, that's not right. 6 months ago I was advised I'd save $737 in financing fees... now I'm ready to pay it in full and they told me the full cost of the course is due is only $130 different than 6 months ago 😳and I have another 2 years to pay... how is that right? That means that 92% of my $800 in payments all went to interest ? That would mean the interest is actually much higher. This means the first 2+ years Ive been paying nothing but interest. Its 2 years later and I still owe the original total of what they told me the course was!! This is a school that empowers people? I think not.”

“I wanted a nutrition certification, Health Coach Institute was the top to come up in my google search. After watching the introduction videos of the program I thought it would be a good fit. After starting the program I quickly realized I was not going to learn much about nutrition and when I ask the successful coach if we would learn more about that top, she told me to just follow to scrip and it will work. After completing the score I do not feel ready to help those in need of this type of service. It’s a $6,000 program and not at all worth the money or time.”

“i signed up last November 2018, became sick. I've taken none of their classes, they are paid every month. not a phone call, no questions, no care!!! its all about the money. Before i signed on the dotted line, my phone rang constantly from this company. Foolishly i fell for these tactics, now i on the line for $6000+ for a company that is all about money, not your learning experience. Claudette Barrett”

“My review is about both, "Health" and "Life" Coaching. Are you exploring the possibility of becoming a Health/Life Coach? If you've done a Google search, you may have noticed that there are quite a few training programs out there. However, let me tell you, not all programs are created equal, and it is so important to choose the program that is right for you. What's better than the candid perspective of someone who has actually completed such a program? Indeed, I recently graduated from the Health Coach Institute (HCI), which offers a cutting-edge, comprehensive, self-paced online program (Become a Health Coach or BHC) that you can complete is 6 months or, at most, a year. If that's important to you, this program is CCE-accredited by the International Coaching Federation. This program, designed to set you up for success, includes learning on nutrition, habit change, personal development (one of their mottos being that "you can only take your clients as far as you're willing to go yourself"). The group challenges the coaches organize are also invaluable for taking you outside of your comfort zone to practice the different skills you will need for building your coaching business. In addition to all the knowledge and value you will gain from the Become a Health Coach program, HCI offers you - free of additional charge - a Life Coaching program based on the same principles. This means you will be able to coach clients who require support in any facet of their lives other than health. You will also receive specific coaching materials for weight loss, heart disease, and diabetes. Enough praising the HCI programs! If you're serious about Health/Life Coaching, and searching for a program that will make your dream come true, search no more. “I completed the Become a Health Coach (BHC) program in May 2018. I can honestly say this program has changed my life. I loved how detailed the program is and how focused they are on truly teaching you how to be an amazing coach - no matter what your niche ends up being. These concepts you can apply to ANY kind of coaching. They also really dive into how to be a successful coach and what you need to start and run your own coaching business if that's something you desire. I met amazing people through this program, learned so much, and came out of it confidently to start my own coaching practice. Now that I'm a graduate, I still feel part of the HCI community through the Facebook group, webinars, and live events. I'll be heading to HCI Live for the first time in April 2019 and I cannot wait. If you're considering health or life coaching, look no further, this is the program for you.”
